Terms of Use
These terms cover the Tourin closed beta on Android. By installing or using the app during the beta, you agree to them. We'll keep this page current if the terms change ahead of general release.
Beta status
Tourin is currently in closed beta. Features may change, break, or disappear without notice, narration quality and coverage will vary by location, and availability isn't guaranteed — we may pause, restart, or limit access to the beta at any time. This is an early look at the app, not a finished product.
AI-generated content disclaimer
Tourin's narration is generated by AI from public sources — Wikipedia, Wikivoyage, OpenStreetMap, iNaturalist, and public government datasets — and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Do not rely on it for navigation, safety, or legal decisions. Tourin is meant to be listened to while you keep your attention on the road — never look at or interact with the app while driving.
Acceptable use
Use Tourin for personal, non-commercial listening. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying data or narration pipeline, interfere with the service's operation, or use the app in any way that violates applicable law.
Intellectual property
Narrations generated for you are for your personal use. The place data behind them is drawn from sources with their own licenses — including CC BY-SA (Wikipedia, Wikivoyage), ODbL (OpenStreetMap), and other public and government datasets — attributed in the app alongside each narration.
No warranty
Tourin is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Beta software is unfinished by definition.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tourin and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on AI-generated narration.
Termination
We may suspend or end beta access at any time, for any reason, including winding down the beta ahead of general release. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy for how.
